The main aims of this Masters are to train practitioners and technicians in quality management by providing expertise in implementing quality management systems, using the tools and methods of quality control and improvement, and generally developing skills to effectively carry out the functions and duties of a quality control department head in any organisation, in the production or service sector.
The specific objectives of the Masters are:
1. To train specialists able to implement and manage a quality management system in any organisation, either from a specific model such as ISO 9001 or a broader model such as the EFQM Model of Excellence.
2. To train technicians who are able to help today’s organisations be more competitive through quality based strategies, through products and services as well as processes, which support the top management level of the organisation, as well as its other departments and operational areas.
3. To train people who are able to integrate quality management systems with other management systems, eitheralready in place or which may be implemented within the organisation such as environmental management systems, health and safety, and knowledge management systems.
4. To train professionals in the field of quality management who bring expertise which can be adapted to different organisations.
