Secondary Educacion Teacher

The effective legal dispositions in Spain determine that people who want to teach in the secondary school (and also in vocational training or foreign languages) they must have a university degree and, in addition, a pedagogical and didactic formation of level of Master. The Government has promulgated a order where it is detailed how must be developed this Master, and the present degre is conceived to fulfil these requirements and to provide a pedagogical and didactic formation to the university graduates that they want to carry out the professions of teacher of Secondary School, teacher of Vocational Training or teacher of Foreign Languages.

In correspondence with the demands of the educational system, this master offers the following specialties:

* Biology and Geology
* Fine Arts
* Economics
* Physical Education
* Philosophy
* Physics and Chemistry
* Foreign language: German, French, English, Italian and Portuguese
* Geography and History
* Classic languages and cultures: Greek and Latin
* Spanish Language and Literature
* Catalan Language and its Literature
* Mathematics
* Music
* Educational Guidance
* Technology
* Labour Formation and Orientation
* Area of Vocational Training: Biological and Healthy Specialties
* Area of Vocational Training: Specialties of Sociocultural Services and to the Community
* Area of Vocational Training: Management, Commerce and Tourism.
* Area of Vocational Training: Computer Science and Electronics Systems

The general missions of the title take shape in forming and professionally enabling teachers of these areas and levels in the psico-pedagogic and didactic scientific knowledge of teaching in which they must demonstrate total professional control. Besides the necessary formation into the diferent subjects of de school system, the work of teacher demands the qualification in the necessary tools for a suitable educational innovation and initiation to the educative investigation, as well as a period of practices where the future teacher acquires a first experience of the exercise of the educational profession.

The maximum number of students is restricted to 1.200
