SLU´s main campus is Ultuna, six kilometres south of Uppsala. Campus Ultuna is where you find the Vice-Chancellor´s office and most of the administration. The faculties of Natural Resources and Agricultural Sciences, and of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science are also located at Campus Ultuna.
The university also has activities at BMC (Uppsala Biomedical Centre), the Kungsängen farm, the Lövsta Research Farm and the Krusenberg estate.
Ultuna has Sweden´s only University Animal Hospital. The campus is also the home of a number of interesting collaborative centres, such as ArtDatabanken (Swedish Threatened Species Unit), CBM (Swedish Biodiversity Centre) and CMK (the Swedish EIA centre).
For some time, Ultuna will be a huge construction site. The research clusters BioCentrum and Mark-Vatten-Miljöcentrum (Soil-Water-Environment) are rising from the ground. Soon the construction of a new Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science Centre, including a new Animal Hospital, will start.

Disabilities
SLU has a responsibility to support students with disabilities in different ways. An overall aim is to offer, as far as possible, appropriate support to students with disabilities so that they can pursue studies on the same conditions as other students.
Applicants with disabilities are recommended to make contact with the university coordinator in order to discuss their need of support well in advance of their studies. When applying for support, you have to enclose a medical certificate describing the kind and degree of your disability.
Among the forms of support which may be considered for students with disabilities may be mentioned:
Make the most out of your time at SLU! Studying at SLU is not just about attending lectures and seminars. There are plenty of things to do in your free-time.
The options vary between the different campuses, but all of them have at least one student union which arranges various activities and events.
Meet new people, exchange ideas, get to know the Swedes and other exchange students from all over the world. There is a buddy system at SLU and if you are interested you can contact the student union which will try to set you up with a Swedish buddy to show you around.
Get to know Sweden, explore the fantastic outdoors. Enjoy the different seasons. Celebrate the arrival of spring with bon-fires and singing, explore the archipelago in the summertime and see the midnight sun in northern Sweden. Watch the leaves turn into different colours in autumn and try skiing or ice-skating during the cold winter.
