As a centre of education, research and knowledge, NHTV seeks to make a contribution to our globalising society by training young people to become responsible professionals in conjunction with the international business community. Furthermore, the institute aims to create a stimulating workplace for both students and staff, so as to enable them to integrate knowledge and skills, to develop their talents to the fullest and apply these to society in a professional and responsible manner.

The International Office is a home away from home for international students and for NHTV students the gateway to the world.
What can you expect?
The International Office has six main tasks:
* Admission: credential evaluation of prospective students for the various NHTV programmes.
* International Student Support: provide practical information on how to prepare your arrival and stay in The Netherlands for exchange, bachelor and master students. For example, information about municipality matters, working, finances, living costs, insurance and housing.
* Exchange & Double Degree Programmes: assist incoming and outgoing students before, during and after an exchange period.
* Immigration procedures: assist students with their visa and residence permit applications.
* Scholarship: provide prospective students and NHTV students with information on scholarships and assist them with applications for scholarships.
* International Crisis Management: ensure the safety of our international students in the Netherlands and the safety of our students abroad.

The combination of its rich history and numerous present-day activities makes Breda an inspiring city! During the course of years Breda has grown into a city with around 170.000 inhabitants. In a college city like Breda you will make many new friends in no time. There is a vivacious student society and numerous fraternities and sororities, which organise a wide variety of activities.
Nearly all NHTV bachelor study courses are judged as the best in their category. This is concluded from the Choice Guide HBO full time 2012, which was published today. Especially the study course International Game Architecture and Design gets an exceptionally high score of 9.4 and is called an 'excellent study course'. The Choice guide says about this study course that 'you can attend a near-perfect study course in Breda, with an exceptionally high appreciation for everything connected to the contents of the study course'. Also the study courses in the area of Logistics and Mobility tower far above the rest in their own categories with an average of 8.0.

The Choice Guide Higher Education HBO full time is compiled by an independant editorial staff of the Higher Education Press Agency in Leiden. The guide has a systematic quality comparison system of related study courses in higher education. Annually a new edition is published with the most recent facts and judgments of study courses in higher professional education (hbo). The data presented in the Choice Guide are from authoritive sources, like the education statistics of the HBO-Council, reports by the Research Centre Education and Job Market (ROA), accreditation data of the NVAO and the results of the National Student Survey.
