Fontys University of Applied Sciences offers more than 200 Bachelor degree education programmes in the professional areas of technology, economics, social work, health care and teacher training. In addition, a wide range of Master programmes are offered in the following areas: management of IT, MSc of information systems, E-business, etc.

All courses are competence-based and competences are determined in consultation with all stakeholders in the relevant professional sector. The competences are assessed by centres within the university, assisted by external experts. Courses are student-driven and tailor-made, and e-learning is an important part of the curriculum. Students are able to study online and use interactive study tools (n@tschool). In other words, Fontys has experience as an educational centre that focuses on learning objectives and performance standards, rather than being focused on standardised learning input (precise curriculum content and textbooks, fixed courses). Alongside the Bachelor programmes, Fontys delivers a range of professional Master programmes, short post-Bachelor courses and training services and consultancy for institutions and enterprises throughout the region.

All students graduating at Fontys will receive a Diploma Supplement. This is a document attached to the formal Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Certificate and provides a description in the English language of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed.
